With artificial intelligence (AI) on the rise in many aspects of healthcare, including radiology, the Department of Medical Imaging is continuing to invest in technological advances and research through our dedicated faculty, Like Dr. Farzad Khalvati, PhD, Chair in Medical Imaging & AI, U of T & The Hospital for Sick Children.

The Department is also hosting our inaugural AI in MI Fundraising Dinner on May 29, 2025 at Toronto’s historic Carlu. The catered three-course dinner will bring together colleagues, medical imaging alumni and industry sponsors for a night of networking, socializing and entertainment including a live band, dance floor and AI photobooth. Our keynote speakers include Dr. Lisa Robinson, Dean, Temerty Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Erol Colak, Odette Professor in Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging, Vice-Chair of the RSNA AI Committee, and Staff Radiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital.
