Resident Appreciation Week Meeting MI: Dr. Taehoo Kim

Headshot, Dr. Taehoo Kim

#MeetingMI offers the Department of Medical Imaging the opportunity to meet the members of MI and learn about their experience in their own words, starting with the next generation of radiologists: MI Residents and Fellows.

Name: Taehoo Kim
Pronouns: She/her
Residency Training Program name & PGY or Fellowship name: PGY-6, General pediatric radiology program
Hospital site: SickKids

1. What inspired you to pursue radiology residency/fellowship?
Shared passion for patient-centered care using all different kinds of modality.

2. What has been the biggest highlight of your education in MI so far?
Doing my very first unsupervised air enema for intussusception reduction on-call. It went successfully so it saved me a phone call to general surgery.

3. What has been the biggest challenge?
Being a busy bee as a chief fellow, but I am getting great support from everyone day and night!

4. What are you most looking forward to after residency/fellowship?
Signing off radiology reports using my own templates as an attending.

5. Tell us something about you that might surprise your colleagues!
You will have to discover that by yourself. Come visit me at SickKids (I practically live here due to calls haha).
