Dr. Ania Kielar - Vice Chair 'At Large'

Dr. Ania Kielar was been appointed as Vice-Chair 'At Large' in October 2020, she has brought to the departmental administration her wealth of experience and expertise with many local, national, and international radiological organizations. Ania's active in numerous committees including the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR), for which she is presently Secretary/Treasurer for the Executive Board, will become the President in 2023, and is a member of the Expert Panel for Ontario Health. 

The role of Vice-Chair 'At Large' differs from the other appointed Vice-Chairs role as it doesn't have a specific portfolio to lead. Through her involvement with the numerous committees, she shares information with the department's trainees and faculty concerning CAR opportunities whether that is upcoming awards, committee assignments, and opportunities with the Canadian Association of Radiologists Journal (CARJ). 

Ania has also become an important member of the Department's Executive Committee and regularly provides updates on any interesting initiatives other schools in North America are undertaking. She also highlights any concerns that the department will need to prepare to address soon. 

Dr. Kielar has an open-door policy when it comes to trainees and faculty needing guidance and advice.
