4th Annual CPi Evening

The Department of Medical Imaging hosted the 4th Annual Clinical Practice Improvement (CPi) Evening, focusing on "Standardization of Processes Towards Clinical Practice Improvement in Radiology.” Dr. Andrea Doria, Professor & former Vice Chair, CPi, helped host the event and had a few words of appreciation to share with attendees and staff who helped organize the event:

“Thank you for attending the 4th Annual Clinical Practice Improvement (CPi) Evening hosted by UofT Medical Imaging focused on "Standardization of Processes Towards Clinical Practice Improvement in Radiology". Your presence and engagement in this event made all the difference.

We had the privilege of hearing outstanding presentations from colleagues representing radiology departments across multiple hospitals affiliated with Medical Imaging, showcasing innovative new Quality Improvement initiatives focused on standardization and implementation of processes. These success stories sparked valuable ideas and demonstrated great potential for cross-departmental collaboration in future QI projects, as the lessons learned from these implementation processes may facilitate inter-departmental process translation.

A heartfelt thank you to our presenters for generously sharing their experiences and strategies for innovation, collaboration, and impactful change in healthcare.

Special thanks to Alison Clute and Jane Jung for their meticulous organization and thoughtful planning of the event, to Stevanus for quickly fixing technical glitches during the event, and to Michael Patlas and Birgit Ertl-Wagner for their support to the event and to the invitation of the event keynote speaker, Dr. David Larson, Executive Vice Chair of Radiology at Stanford University. Thanks to Dr. Larson who demonstrated to us how they obtained agreement and compliance to the standardization of reports at Stanford, something that has been challenging in many centres across the globe.

Thank you for your contributions and for helping us continue to advance clinical practice improvement. We all look forward to seeing these meaningful efforts grow in the years ahead.”
