Research Interests: Brain arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, ischemic stroke treatment, translational research / device development
Use-inspired interdisciplinary translational research lies at the core of my academic interests. National Science Foundation Grant recipient of approximately 2.5 Million $ to develop a new generation of guide wires and devices, such as a biocompatible photosensitive hydrogel to treat brain aneurysms, enhance brain vessels navigation or reverse cerebral vasospasm using endovascular sympathetic denervation probes. Development of new flow-driven, magnetically steerable, robotically-assisted microcatheters.
