The field of breast imaging is expanding with new emerging technologies, including contrast-enhanced mammography and newer techniques for localization. My research focuses on how these newer technologies can be leveraged in clinical practice to guide efficient patient management. Currently, I am exploring the clinical applications of contrast-enhanced mammography, including its effectiveness in diagnostic workups that support the triage and appropriate management of patients with breast cancer. I am interested in comparing contrast-enhanced mammography as a new diagnostic tool in breast imaging to more established approaches using breast MRI. I am also interested in determining the factors that facilitate the uptake and implementation of contrast-enhanced mammography and newer technologies in breast imaging, including the attitudes of surgeons, oncologists, technologists, patients, etc. I believe quality assurance and best practice standards are important outcomes for research in breast imaging to have a lasting impact on patient care.
