Julien Aguet

I am a paediatric radiologist at SickKids and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on quality improvement, patient safety, and healthcare systems design in paediatric imaging, with particular interest in communication, continuity of care, and transitions of care that support safe, timely, and reliable imaging services for children. Through quality improvement initiatives and applied health systems work, I study approaches to improving diagnostic reliability, reducing process variation, and strengthening communication across healthcare teams.

I also lead and contribute to initiatives exploring mindfulness, physician well-being, and psychological safety in healthcare, with a focus on fostering resilience, compassionate practice, and sustainable clinical work environments.
