OAR Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): Role of the Radiologist

At the end of this event, participants should be able to:

• Relate that the incidence of HCC is rising and that Ultrasound is the primary method of screening

• Develop an approach to triage the findings on screening liver ultrasound

• Optimize CT and MR liver protocols for the detection and diagnosis of HCC and important associated findings

• Develop a standardized approach to reporting CT and MRI findings in patients at risk for HCC

• Identify the key imaging findings that contribute to the triaging of patients to appropriate treatments including: percutaneous tumour ablation (RFA, TACE) or surgery

• Develop an approach to challenging liver cases
