Dr. Soulen served on the board of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) for 10 years and as Director for Research Education on the board of the SIR Foundation for four years. He chaired the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting, the largest meeting in the world devoted to interventional radiology, as well as numerous other research and CME courses. He is on the Board of Directors of the Society of Interventional Oncology (SIO, formerly WCIO), where he served as annual meeting chair and board chair. He also currently serves as Program Chair and on the Board of Directors for the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, and is the Clinical Chair of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop.
