The Department of Medical Imaging will welcome incoming RSNA President Dr. Jeffrey Klein this October

For our upcoming Chair Grand Rounds in October, the Department of Medical Imaging is excited to welcome incoming RSNA President Dr. Jeffrey Klein! The Chair Grand Rounds, which will take place at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre on October 20, 2025, will include a case presentation for residents and fellows focusing on cardiothoracic imaging and Grand Rounds focusing on engaging with RSNA journals—including vehicles for scholarly dissemination and RSNA engagement opportunities—which will be open for trainees and faculty.

Dr. Klein, a Brooklyn, New York native, completed his medical school and Diagnostic Radiology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Centre, where he was chief resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in thoracic radiology at the University of California San Francisco Medical Centre, after which he remained on staff at UCSF and the San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Klein currently holds the appointment of Professor Emeritus of Radiology at the University of Vermont (UVM), Chair, Board of Directors, RSNA, and will become the President of the RSNA at the 2025 RSNA Annual Meeting.

Since finishing his education, Dr. Klein has held numerous appointments, including Associate Radiology Residency Program Director, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Centre, Chief of Thoracic Radiology, University of Vermont Medical Centre (UVMMC), and Associate Dean, Continuing Medical Education, UVM Larner College of Medicine. He has also served as Editor of the Journal of Thoracic Imaging from 1999-2004, Editor of Radiographics from 2012-2020 and as President of the Society of Thoracic Radiology in 2005.
