My main focus areas of research are:

  1. Advancing the understanding of complex pediatric neurovascular diseases;
  2. Improving outcomes from neurointerventional therapies in children.

My curiosity about all things neurovascular led me to neurointerventional radiology, a discipline which brings together an intricate understanding of disease pathophysiology and vascular flow dynamics along with treatment concepts. My medical training, residency and fellowship at academic centers have equipped me with various research tools. In addition, I have completed further research education through courses such as the NIH Certificate Course (2016) and the Comparative Effectiveness Research Training course (2018) held by the Radiological Society of North America. As a clinical Radiologist, I strongly believe in the role of translational research, and my research is intricately tied to improving diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in this field. This ensures both that my research remains clinically relevant, as well as ensures that I offer cutting edge clinical solutions to patients.

My motivation for research is rooted in the above process, i.e. questions that I am enthusiastic about, as well as in a humble awareness that several important and practice-relevant questions are yet to be fully addressed in the field of pediatric neurovascular diseases.
